Crazy how times really flies by.
It seems like he was just my little baby, who slept through the night at 3 weeks (no, I am not exaggerating-), and who finally walked at 18 months (And then ran the following day).
It seems like he was just a toddler learning to talk, and who laid down on the soccer field making "snow angels" on the turf (I thought he would never like soccer!) instead of playing the fun soccer skills games with the rest of the class.
Just a while back, he was a quiet second grader who was afraid of going on "red light" for talking, (By 8th grade he sure grew out of that fear-...)
I swear, he was just crying at the kitchen table doing the hard 4th grade math homework with Tin Man as he called himself a "dumb-o", while we tried calm him down and tell him he could do math...and don't say "dumb-o" because it wasn't even a real word!
(Now taller than his kindergarten teacher)
There have been so many memorable times- chapel plays, and sport schedules. Field trips, group projects, sleepovers, and birthday parties. Science projects, required summer reading lists, nightly homework, tests, and recess monitoring. Lots of talking in middle school, and even detentions.
And now he's had his 8th grade graduation night.
He's been with his friends for many years by now, and will be moving on to a high school without his good group of friends. He seems excited for this change as much as I think I feel anxious-.
Yet, he has so many more school memories to have and to make...
(...who is the mom of an 8th grade graduate...)
