Thankful for a family who through the years have served (and are currently serving our country):

My dad's brother (Our favorite Uncle Stan) served in the merchant marines during World War II, and Grandpa Beetler served in World War I, and earned a medal.
And of course, my favorite veteran, my dad.
He served in the army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Panama, in the finance department. He quotes a famous person (whom I don't remember!) by saying, "The only combat warfare I saw while in the army was swatting the misquitoes."

Love family.
That is your heritage, my darling boys.
