"The Chicago Dawg"

Chicago June 2011
He is a picky eater.
He never (NE. VER.) tries any new food without severe threats, or pleadings.
{What drives me crazy is when he actually tries something, -after the round of tears-, of course,
he many times ends up loving it.}
He has been known to gag, (or throw up even) when trying new foods.
He only weighs six pounds more than his younger (-by three years!) brother.
And even if I buy 'thin' jeans or pants, we still need to make them tighter.
He doesn't like french fries, chips, or many other 'fattening' foods.
He hates spaghetti, and has been known to cry when it is on the menu for dinner.
He detests Macaroni and cheese.
He does however, like apples  (but the green ones only-),
and will eat a piece or two of pizza.
Sometimes with peperoni, but usually just cheese.
He loves plain cheeseburgers: NO ketchup, mustard, or anything: Just PLAIN.
He would prefer the same thing for breakfast and lunch each day:
Dry cereal; plain. (and never will he eat cereal with milk on it.)
Soy-nut sandwich [peanut allergy] for lunch, a green apple, and a juice box.
If he is living on the edge, he may drink chocolate milk. May, I said.
Flavorful food is just not his priority at this point of his life.

So when we arrived in Chicago,
imagine our astonishment when this son of ours insisted on finding a street vendor selling
"A Chicago-Style Hot Dog".
[Chicago Dog Ingredients: Vienna beef hot dog, poppy seed bun, sport peppers, tomato, celery salt, relish, onions, and mustard]

We were perplexed-
we were surprised.
But, we began the hunt to get our Skinny-Minny a "Chicago Dog".

Near the Shedd's Aquarium-
(after viewing the Jellyfish exhibit, which was awesome, by the way-)
we found the vendor:

And he ordered his
Chicago Dog:

PLAIN.

He sounds like Jessica when she was that age. She has improved a lot since then but still has a very plain and not very varied diet. She still eats dry cereal with a glass of milk! She would never try a hot dog but after having one at Disney in 2009 (when she was very hungry) she now loves them. The Chicago Dawg looks yummy.
