Chicago: Trains, Cabs, Swings, Ferris Wheels, Boats, and Busses...Oh My!

Transportation in Chicago: Let me count the ways...

We rode the Metra train into the city.

 

We walked several miles-over bridges and rivers,

 around the lake, through parks, near a water fountain,

 and down the Magnificent Mile.

After all that walking, we decided to hop on some transportation.

We cabbed it from the train station to

for lunch (which was even better Chicago style pizza than our favorite, Gino's East).

[At least Tin Man and I decided this was now our favorite pizza place-]

We took a Water Taxi {A Boat} over to the Navy Pier.

At the Navy Pier,

we  rode on the giant ferris wheel

overlooking the city,

 and even took a wild ride on the swings.

 After a long day of touring the Shedd Aquarium, and walking straight to the LEGO store,

[which moved to the Water Tower Mall from the Nordstrom Mall which added on an extra mile to our walk...*NICE*]

we even rode a bus back to the train station to catch the train to head out a bit north of the city.

The boys said the only thing we didn't ride on here was the "EL"

[The elevated train, Chicago's version of the subway-].

We rode on everything else, however: 

 A train, a cab, swings, a Ferris wheel, a boat, and even a city bus!

OH MY!
