Getting "RICH"

Much of this past weekend was about this: (which I had previously mentioned-)

I have serious garage sale issues.

...I love having them! It is so fun talking to everyone who comes by. I love setting things up..., and I love seeing things go to someone else. I may have spent more buying it-but I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I sell the very same thing. (!)

We (I mean Tin Man) had a few hundred dollars in weights and a weight bench-

SOLD! (-for $40.00 dollars!)

A Palm Pilot-

SOLD! (for 50.00!)

I am kidding-I also sold everything for whatever-including so many little boy clothes-all for .25 cents a piece, too...and a couch for fifty dollars to a family I could tell really needed it.

It was a great sale-a little rain and all.

But I should share my top-secret weapon for hosting a garage sale:

Start the music, and bring out the cute kids-

no one can resist kids selling cookies and lemonade...

In all seriousness, we used all the profits from the last day of the sale and donated what we made to a local homeless shelter:
GRACE CENTERS OF HOPE
Because really-I won't get rich from selling my junk-but it can be used to give back to those who need a helping hand these days~which always makes you feel rich inside your heart!

AND~

As it is every year, Mother's Day was so special.

This year, we attended a Baby Dedication service with our dear friends and neighbors at their church. We were blessed to share this special day with them, and as their pastor spoke about family being more than just our blood relatives, but also includes those that follow Christ-I felt positively wealthy!

Thank you God for a wonderful family, good friends that are our "family of faith", and special days we can share together~
