Opposites {Attract!}

There is a line in one of our favorite old(er)  movies, when discussing a marriage:

"There are those who like Neil Diamond,

and there are those who don't.

She didn't like Neil Diamond."

This week, Tin Man and I celebrated our 14th (!)
Wedding Anniversary,
and when it comes to our marriage,
we are definite opposites in some ways:

There are those who like Bob Seger
and there are those who like Cobbie Callait.

There are those who could stock the house with only red meat and cereal,
and there are those who can exist on  yogurt and Lean Cuisine Microwave Meals.

There are those who wait in line for the latest action-adventure movies,
 and those who will only watch romantic comedies.

There are those who adore Mountain Dew
and there are those who prefer ice tea.

There are those who like to race around the lake on a super-fast Sea-Doo,
 and there are those who are afraid of tipping over on the Sea-Doo and prefer to read a book on the beach...
There are some who like Fox News,
and still-there are others who would rather watch The Real Housewives on Bravo.

There are those who play the electric guitar,
and those who play the piano.
There are those who adore scuba diving,
and there are those who would rather watch from the boat and take pictures.
There are those who read The Screwtape Letters {C.S. Lewis}, The Case For Christ {Lee Strobel}, and Darwin's Black Box {Michael J. Behe}
...and then there are those who read things a little more 'juicy' like The Island {Elin Hilderbrand};  Eat, Pray, Love {Elizabeth Gilbert}; and Promises To Keep {Jane Green}.

Yes~
Opposites in many ways,
but whole-heartedly committed to each other, and to our boys.
