Mackinac Island {Main Street}

"A stroll at Mackinac is worth a day in any man's life."
~Horace Greeley, 1847

Mackinac Island in the Summer has a very busy Main Street.

There are horse carriages {and horse droppings-} to dodge,
and many bikers to avoid...
not the motorcycle ones even, but rather the TREK kind.

People are walking everywhere.
There are fudge shops,
and restaurants to visit.

Trinket shops,

and {Thank the good Lord!} even Starbucks.

The street behind Main Street is called Market street.
{This is where I like to go-}

The pace on Market Street is a little less hectic-
there are bed and breakfasts to admire,

the police station,
and the post office,

and quaint buildings from many years ago.

Thanks for the shopping tour. Market Street looks great. Those B&B's are calling to me! Mackinac Island looks like the perfect place to live.
