Sometimes Thank You Doesn't Seem Like Enough~

Have you had days like this?
Yesterday, I cleaned my house from top to bottom-bathrooms (4), washing sheets, making beds (4), vacuuming three floors (3,400? sq. ft.), running the dishwasher, and emptying it (twice)-I wore my track suit. It was a workout in cleaning. I didn't eat lunch until two, and then it was only because I was shaky, and about ready to pass out. I ate because I needed more energy to finish the task of cleaning! When the boys got home from school, and Tin Man home from work, we decided to head out to dinner because neither of us were feeling in the mood to cook. (-and my kitchen was spotless, and I just wanted ONE evening of looking at my clean kitchen...Know what I mean???)
When I got home from dinner out with the family last night, I found this waiting with my name on it(!!!):

...And the sweetest card from Lindsay at the Cross-Stitch House.

In her note, she said, "...I thought these goodies might cheer you up a bit as I know you will be missing your friend Kylie. You can make yourself some hot chocolate in your new mug, and snuggle down with the book and magazine and your husband can put the apron on and start cooking from the Yorkshire cookbook.".

I was blown away by her kindness-to the point of happy tears-I don't take much time for myself these days, and this was such a complete surprise and blessing. A "Thank You" just doesn't seem enough!
Lindsay who lives so far away from me (in Michigan) in Yorkshire, England~

Lindsay and her daughter (Jessica) are so wonderful, I wanted to give you a chance to go on over to her blog and say hello- I promise-you can never meet enough great friends, and I count Lindsay as one of mine~

***********************
I had to share with you how amazing, and wonderful Lindsay is.

{Because this isn't the first time she has gone out of her way to show kindness to my family-}

My parents went to England last fall, and to be honest-I was worried about them. I had mentioned it to Lindsay, and she gave me all her personal contact information to give to my parents, so if they had any problems-any problems at all!- she offered to help them. I sent my parents off to England with an easy mind, as well as a note card in their wallets with Lindsay and her husband's contact information.
(That is Lindsay!!!)

I had to show off what she sent to us~
She sent Tin Man this apron (which he LOVED!):

I put our recipe book here:

(It is filled with so many yummy ideas! I can't wait for Tin Man to make them. He was flipping through it, and figuring out which one to try first! I am voting for the Crab Cakes or the Scones-)

...And the coffee mug Lindsay sent is out and ready for Valentine's Day:

She sent me the most BEAUTIFUL rose petal shaped soap. (Perfect for the guest bathroom because I am having girlfriends over for lunch today-)

(She also sent chocolate...which I ate before showing it to you! It was soooo good-)
Thank You, Lindsay~You are so amazing, and I am blessed to call you friend! I pray God blesses YOU as much as you have blessed me today~

I couldn't agree with you more...Lindsay is one of the kindest and most special people I've had the privelege of ever "meeting". How very sweet of her to do what she did!

I love it! Don't you just love that feeling when someone has been super thoughtful and nice--just because. Just because they like you and just because they are so genuine!
Greg was out of town for a great deal of the week last week. At night I was exhausted from having the boys to myself for days.....I happened to comment on FB "wish I could make a bottle of wine magically appear"
Wouldn't you know--a friend answered and said "check you front porch I think the wine fairy paid you a visit"
Yes, I have a wine fairy--and she doesn't live close--10 miles!!
